Ride Home
When you use a sustainable commute option (e.g., transit, carpool, vanpool, bicycle) and need an immediate ride due to an unexpected workday event, you may be eligible for a reimbursed ride using Uber, Lyft, or another provider through the Santa Clara County VTA Guaranteed Ride Home program.
How it Works
The VTA Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) program is provided by Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), so commuters can feel at ease using a sustainable mode of transportation to work in Santa Clara County by reimbursing the cost to get home in the event of an emergency.
Registered participants are eligible to receive up to six reimbursements a year or $500 in total reimbursements, whichever comes first. Each qualified trip may be reimbursed up to $125.
