If you currently have a VTA SmartPass from your employer and live in the AC Transit service area:
You may request to have AC Transit EasyPass added to your current VTA SmartPass Clipper Card. This will provide you with free access to the Dumbarton Express bus and AC Transit bus service through December 31, 2026.
If you do not currently have a SmartPass Clipper Card:
Please visit https://stanfordresearchpark.com/smart-pass for details.
Please note:
The SmartPass and EasyPass Clipper Card that you receive from Stanford Research Park or your participating employer in the Research Park are only for your use. They cannot be given to, shared or otherwise used by anyone else, including family and friends.
SmartPass and EasyPass do not provide free or discounted fares on Caltrain, SamTrans, MUNI or BART. I take public transportation because it’s a breeze commute. You don’t have to worry about driving to work and dealing with being stuck in traffic or paying for tolls. Plus it’s more environmentally friendly. It’s also about peace of mind—I catch up on my podcasts, or if there’s work to do, I can do that on the bus as well. It’s free, you can take a nap, and it’s just such a convenient factor for me.
