Modes of Transportation
Find the way that suits you best

Public Transit
Caltrain operates between San Francisco and Gilroy, providing rail service to the California Ave. Caltrain Station and Palo Alto Transit Center.
Additionally, VTA operates 4 Express Buses from the South Bay and provides a convenient connection to and from the California Ave. Caltrain station.
East Bay commuters can leave the driving to the pros aboard the Dumbarton Express bus, which connects to BART in Union City with additional stops in Fremont.

Shuttles
The Stanford Marguerite Shuttle lines are free and open to the public. Serving Stanford Research Park, the RP line runs between the Palo Alto Transit Center and SRP during peak commute hours.
The 1050A provides a connection to the Stanford Campus. Note: the 1050A shuttle is currently suspended until further notice. Stay tuned to this page for updates.

Carpools
Carpooling is a popular way to get to and from Stanford Research Park. We can help you find a carpool match! One option: register (top right button) at SRPGO.com. Here, you can customize your carpool matches (e.g., to limit carpool partner matches to only your co-workers). If you need any assistance with this, please contact us at SRPGO@Stanford.edu.
You can also try Scoop to find flexible carpool partners when you want to carpool. To be part of the SRPGO Scoop account, just complete and submit the form on this page and you'll soon receive an email from Scoop with final steps to get set up.

Vanpools
Vanpools can help you save time, money, and relax on your commute. For more information on vanpools, contact us at SRPGO@Stanford.edu.

Bicycling
Bicycling is a naturally socially distanced way to commute. It's also a way to fit exercise and fun into your work day! Consider combining bicycling with public transit to cover long distances quickly.
Plan your route. Check out Low-Stress Bike Routes and Scenic Trails in and around Stanford Research Park. Our bike commuting toolkit can also help prepare you for the ride from home to work.

“The best part of carpooling to work is that the stress level goes from a 9 or 10 to a 1 or 2. So you get to work and you’re totally refreshed and you don’t feel like it was a problem at all to get there.”
